About the Author
Shaun Tan is a Chinese Australian artist, writer, and filmmaker, best known for his illustrated books that blend the fantastical with the everyday. Born in Perth, Australia, Tan has received numerous awards for his work, including the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film for The Lost Thing (2011). The Arrival is widely regarded as one of the finest wordless graphic novels ever created.
