Our Process
The book chosen for 1C1B each year will be:
- of evident literary quality
- conducive to reflection and discussion
- of proven appeal to a broad audience, including younger readers
- in print and widely accessible, preferably in both Chinese and English
Book selection process:
The 1C1B Directorate drafts a list of shortlisted books and submits it to the 1C1B Advisory Board, which makes a final selection from the shortlist.
